Senior PHP Developer

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are currently seeking a Senior PHP Back-end engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. This role will have a strong presence within the team, acting as a technical reference in day-to-day operations, and will have a significant impact on the development process.

The candidate should possess a diverse set of skills, ranging from proficiency in PHP, either plain or though frameworks, to hands-on experience with non-relational databases (especially MongoDB), object-oriented programming (OOP), Git version control, and solid experience working within cloud environments, particularly AWS. Knowledge of security principles and best practices will be highly valued.

YOUR MISSION

• Collaborate with both the project-dedicated team and the broader technology team

• Support and guide other team members in achieving their goals throughout the project

• Maintain and optimize the technological stack, ensuring high standards of performance, security, and reliability, in collaboration with a systems engineer

• Apply object-oriented programming principles to improve code quality and maintainability

• Work across multiple applications and microservices within the platform

• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of authentication and authorization mechanisms used across the system

• Utilize Git and Notion to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  

WHAT YOU WILL BRING ALONG TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• 5+ years of experience as a PHP Developer

• Strong proficiency in PHP, both native and using frameworks

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (especially MongoDB)

• Solid understanding and application of object-oriented programming (OOP)

• Proficiency with Git-based workflows

• Familiarity with cloud computing, especially on the AWS platform

• Experience with authentication and authorization systems in distributed applications

• Experience with AWS Cognito or similar identity providers will be highly valued

• Familiarity with secure development practices

• Knowledge of server management and system architecture

• Proactive mindset, able to find solutions independently and work autonomously

• Organized, pragmatic, and open-minded when approaching technical challenges

  Highly valued:

  • Experience working under ISO-aligned environments (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 27701) and/or the Spanish ENS

  • Familiarity with security controls, audits, and compliance processes in regulated environments

  • Previous experience working within the French healthcare ecosystem

  • Familiarity with French regulations regarding health data protection and security (e.g. HDS, CNIL-related expectations)
