Mid PHP Developer

✨ ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are currently seeking a Mid-level PHP Developer (Full Stack LAMP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of a new platform built on top of our current stack, working closely with the rest of the engineering team to deliver features with quality, security and long-term maintainability.

The candidate should be comfortable working across the LAMP stack, have experience with non-relational databases (especially MongoDB), basic frontend skills (CSS / vanilla JS or a JS framework), a solid understanding of OOP, version control with Git, and exposure to cloud environments (preferably AWS). Knowledge of security best practices will be highly valued.

💼 YOUR MISSION

• Develop features and maintain existing PHP-based applications within the LAMP stack

• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to achieve project goals

• Work alongside a systems/DevOps engineer to ensure performance, reliability and security

• Apply object-oriented principles to ensure high code quality and maintainability

• Use Git and Notion for collaboration, documentation and workflow alignment

• Show familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and understand how applications run in them

• Contribute to multiple applications and microservices when needed

🚀 WHAT YOU WILL BRING ALONG TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• 3-5 years of experience as a PHP Developer (native and/or using frameworks)

• Knowledge of CSS and vanilla JavaScript (modern JS frameworks are a plus)

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, especially MongoDB

• Strong understanding of OOP and clean coding principles

• Proficiency in Git

• Experience with Node.js is a strong plus

• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud providers; understanding of how apps run on servers

• Ability to work autonomously and solve problems proactively

• Awareness of secure development practices

• Organized and methodical, with an open mindset toward alternative approaches
