About the Project & Our Client
Talentophia is managing a vacancy for a top-tier international IT & Telecom multinational. They are expanding their core engineering hub in Madrid to evolve one of their most critical enterprise platforms: a high-throughput, modern Document Management Services platform deployed at scale across Europe.
You will join our client’s internal team directly (this is not outsourcing). The team operates in a pure agile, high-trust environment where micro-management doesn't exist, and internal career evolution is actively supported.
The Role & Your Impact
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong product mindset. You will act as a technical bridge, collaborating daily with architects and stakeholders in Switzerland to implement and scale complex features end-to-end.
What You Will Do:
Continuously design, improve, and implement Java-based components, adhering to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Code.
Take full ownership of feature lifecycles: from agile planning and effort estimation to testing (Unit/Integration) and production release.
Enforce non-functional requirements such as security, reliability, and high-throughput scalability.
Conduct robust code reviews and foster a culture of helpfulness, continuous feedback, and modern software craft.
What You Bring:
The Backend Core: Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot in distributed, heavy-transaction environments.
The Cloud Native Mindset: Real-world experience working with Kubernetes and GitOps workflows for seamless application deployment and orchestration.
Architectural Fluency: Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns, asynchronous communication, RESTful APIs, and messaging systems.
Language: Advanced/Fluent English (C1 level) is mandatory. You must be completely comfortable conducting technical debates and architectural alignments with teams in Switzerland.
Location & Flexibility: Based in Madrid for a minimum of 1 hybrid day per week at the central Madrid office. If you live outside Madrid, you must have availability to travel for key on-site milestones and international team events.
Nice to Have:
Experience with MongoDB and high-volume document handling (specifically complex PDF processing).
Familiarity with Frontend development using Angular.
Proficiency in German and/or French.
What’s in it for you?
Work-Life Balance: Highly flexible working hours—manage your own schedule as long as the sprint commitments are met.
Vacation & Summer Perks: 25 paid vacation days per year + "Horario intensivo" in August (35 hours/week).
Financial & Food: 10€/day Lunch tickets (Ticket Restaurante) + Company Pension Plan.
Health & Wellness: Private healthcare insurance + 20€/month contribution for your gym subscription.
Hardware & Tech: Power Developer Workplace (your choice of top-tier PC or Mac) + Unlimited Data/Voice corporate smartphone.
Growth: 5 paid training days per year (€1000 budget) + Language course allowance (DE/EN) up to €300/year.
International Travel: 1-2 company-funded trips per year to the central headquarters in Switzerland (CH) for team get-togethers.
