We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team and contribute to the development and evolution of high-quality mobile applications.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Android applications while ensuring code quality, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, and QA teams to deliver impactful mobile experiences, contribute to technical decisions, and support engineering best practices.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced Android developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, sharing knowledge with teammates, and building robust mobile solutions in a collaborative environment.
Design, develop, and maintain Android applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Implement new product features and contribute to the evolution of existing mobile solutions.
Apply Android development best practices, architecture patterns, and clean code principles.
Participate in code reviews and provide technical feedback to improve code quality.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Android applications.
Support testing practices and ensure application stability throughout the development lifecycle.
Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Stay updated with Android ecosystem trends, SDK updates, libraries, and modern development approaches.
6+ years of professional experience in Android development.
Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK.
Experience building and maintaining production-level Android applications.
Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
Experience with software design patterns and mobile development best practices.
Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Experience working within Agile development teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience mentoring or supporting other developers.
Valid passport and travel visa for USA and/or LATAM.
Availability to travel multiple times per year to USA, Costa Rica, or Mexico.
Experience with analytics and experimentation tools such as Amplitude, LaunchDarkly, or Firebase.
Experience with reactive programming using RxAndroid or RxJava.
Experience with Espresso Framework and UI Testing.
Experience with Google Play Billing.
Experience working in fast-paced environments with frequent product releases.
