At Staffy, we're seeking a Sr. Platform Engineer to help design, build, operate, and continuously improve Azure-based platform services that enable enterprise applications, infrastructure, and data workloads.
In this role, you will be a key member of the Platform Operations team, responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platform capabilities. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Operations, and Application teams to standardize cloud services, automate infrastructure, and ensure operational excellence across enterprise Azure environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cloud engineer who enjoys platform engineering, infrastructure automation, governance, and enabling development teams through modern cloud practices.
Design, implement, and operate Azure-based platform services supporting enterprise applications, infrastructure, and data platforms.
Develop secure, scalable, and reusable cloud platform capabilities aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Manage the lifecycle of platform services, including implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement.
Drive platform standardization through reusable architectures, shared services, and engineering best practices.
Implement and maintain Azure governance using Azure Policy, Management Groups, and security controls.
Translate architecture, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements into automated technical controls and platform guardrails.
Engineer and support Microsoft Entra ID, authentication services, RBAC models, and identity integrations.
Support identity lifecycle management, privileged access controls, and Single Sign-On (SSO) initiatives.
Design and support Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, DNS, Load Balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using enterprise-approved tooling.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform provisioning, configuration management, and policy deployment.
Enable engineering teams through self-service capabilities, standardized deployment patterns, and platform engineering best practices.
Implement and support Azure API Management and other shared platform services.
Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability to ensure reliable service delivery.
Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities, driving root cause analysis and service improvements.
Develop operational documentation, runbooks, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity plans.
5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar roles.
5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.
Experience owning and supporting production cloud environments.
Experience collaborating with Cloud Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
Experience operating within ITIL-based environments, including Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management.
Strong experience designing and operating Azure platform services.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM Templates, Terraform, or equivalent technologies.
Strong knowledge of Azure Networking, including Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, DNS, Load Balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, identity integrations, RBAC, privileged access management, and Single Sign-On.
Experience implementing Azure Policy, Management Groups, governance controls, and cloud security best practices.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, or similar tools.
Experience with Azure API Management and shared integration services.
Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, compliance, and operational best practices.
Experience with platform observability, monitoring, automation, and operational support.
Familiarity with Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Landing Zones, and enterprise platform engineering principles.
Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, or related Microsoft certifications.
Experience implementing Azure Landing Zones and Cloud Adoption Framework standards.
Experience within regulated industries such as Financial Services.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, governance, and risk management frameworks.
