We're seeking for a Senior Shopify / BigCommerce Developer to help deliver modern digital commerce experiences across enterprise retail platforms.
This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing scalable eCommerce solutions that support customer engagement, online shopping experiences, and business growth initiatives. The position combines platform development, enterprise integrations, and modern commerce architecture to create high-performing storefronts and seamless customer journeys.
We are looking for a professional with strong Shopify and/or BigCommerce expertise who can contribute to complex commerce initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help deliver exceptional digital experiences across customer-facing platforms.
Design, develop, customize, and maintain Shopify or BigCommerce storefronts and back-office functionality.
Build and support custom applications, integrations, and extensions using platform APIs and third-party services.
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to define scalable commerce solutions and technical roadmaps.
Optimize site performance, accessibility, security, and overall user experience.
Implement and support headless commerce architectures when required.
Develop and maintain integrations with ERP, CRM, payment, fulfillment, marketing, and other enterprise systems.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and best-practice initiatives.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the commerce ecosystem.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers when needed.
Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and provide technical recommendations.
5+ years of experience in eCommerce development with strong expertise in Shopify and/or BigCommerce.
Proven experience developing custom themes, applications, extensions, and platform integrations.
Strong understanding of REST and/or GraphQL APIs and API-first architectures.
Experience integrating commerce platforms with third-party systems and services.
Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web development practices.
Experience working with Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated client-facing experience.
Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Understanding of microservices, composable commerce, and modern eCommerce architecture patterns.
Familiarity with cloud-native environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience with headless commerce architectures.
Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or similar technologies.
Shopify, BigCommerce, cloud, or related technical certifications.
Senior or Lead-level professional capable of owning technical solutions end-to-end.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
A collaborative and consultative approach when working with clients and internal teams.
An API-first and cloud-native mindset.
