We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer who thrives in building large-scale, enterprise-grade systems and is passionate about shaping how AI transforms retail commerce.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with product, sales, and AI platform teams to design, prototype, and launch conversational experiences for some of the largest retailers in Latin America. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a product-oriented mindset and enjoys tackling deep engineering challenges that create real business impact.
You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performing systems, contributing to both backend and frontend development, and driving innovation across AI-driven solutions that redefine customer engagement.
Design, build, and launch production-grade conversational AI solutions for enterprise clients, from rapid prototypes to scalable deployments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and enterprise partners to define user journeys, performance goals, and success metrics.
Leverage and contribute to the internal AI platform, working closely with engineering teams to integrate new capabilities and influence platform direction.
Experiment with AI-driven features, including LLM-based agents, retrieval systems, and automation pipelines to continuously improve engagement.
Develop and maintain backend systems using Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and DynamoDB, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Establish, track, and iterate on AI performance metrics, leveraging data to optimize outcomes and drive measurable business results.
Plan and manage your workstream, making thoughtful tradeoffs between deadlines, quality, and innovation.
Mentor teammates, contribute to code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering roles.
Proven experience building and scaling enterprise systems using Python, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and/or DynamoDB.
Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript is a plus.
Prior experience developing or deploying conversational AI applications is a strong plus.
Experience working in fast-paced, customer-centric environments, ideally within startups or high-growth tech companies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
English level: B2 or higher.
Outstanding communication skills across all levels and teams.
Ability to move seamlessly between high-level system design and hands-on implementation.
A strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and drive for results.
Curiosity and eagerness to stay ahead in the evolving AI landscape.
A balance of technical rigor and product intuition, with an understanding of user experience.
Experience with prompt design, agent evaluation, or LLM-based integrations is a significant plus.
