At Staffy, we are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive DevOps excellence and ensure Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations and Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness across our Azure-based ecosystem.
This role will act as the DevOps lead, defining standards, best practices, and governance frameworks while collaborating closely with Enterprise Architecture and Security teams. You will play a critical role in strengthening CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and operational resilience across onshore and offshore teams.
You will also mentor developers, elevate engineering practices, and ensure high availability, scalability, and compliance across our cloud-native environments.
Lead DevOps practices, standards, and operational procedures across distributed teams.
Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines (multi-stage, reusable templates, gated deployments).
Own release management processes including approvals, variable groups, and blue-green/canary deployments.
Drive DevSecOps initiatives including Static Code Analysis (SCA) and Software Composition Analysis integration.
Integrate SonarQube into CI/CD pipelines for code quality and static analysis.
Integrate Software Composition Analysis tools such as Prisma Cloud (Palo Alto).
Administer and manage Azure environments including resource governance and access control.
Develop automation scripts using Azure CLI and PowerShell.
Configure and manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Implement secure secrets and credential management using Azure Key Vault.
Manage Azure SQL Databases including backups, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
Configure and maintain networking components (VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Private Links).
Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Manage Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Service Connections).
Maintain pipeline health monitoring, logging, and retention policies.
Integrate automated testing (unit, integration, Selenium, Postman, etc.) within CI/CD workflows.
Ensure compliance and security best practices including RBAC, audit controls, and Defender integration.
Document architecture, DR/BCP procedures, and operational standards.
Mentor developers and promote DevOps culture across engineering teams.
7+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles, with leadership responsibility.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure administration and cloud services.
Proven experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (YAML and classic pipelines).
Deep understanding of Git version control and branching strategies.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Experience integrating SonarQube and Software Composition Analysis tools into CI/CD.
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC.
Experience managing Azure SQL DB (backup, DR, performance basics).
Solid scripting skills (YAML, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools in Azure.
Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross-functional teams.
Availability to work from 8am to 4pm CST.
Experience working in hybrid onshore/offshore models.
Experience supporting DR and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) strategies.
Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards.
Experience supporting multi-stack environments including Python, .NET, Java, Angular, React, and Databricks.
