About the role
We are looking for an Email Marketing & Customer Engagement Specialist to join a growing SaaS company providing technology solutions to the construction industry across the United States.
This role combines strategic ownership of email marketing initiatives (70%) with customer engagement and communication responsibilities (30%). You will directly impact retention, engagement, and revenue growth by building scalable campaigns and maintaining strong customer relationships.
We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats within a small, entrepreneurial team.
Responsibilities
Plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns including newsletters, drip sequences, product announcements, onboarding flows, and re-engagement campaigns.
Own and manage the email marketing calendar aligned with company goals, product launches, and seasonal construction industry cycles.
Build and maintain segmented email lists to deliver targeted and personalized messaging.
Write compelling, conversion-driven email copy that improves open rates, click-through rates, and overall engagement.
Design and execute A/B tests (subject lines, content, CTAs, timing) to continuously optimize performance.
Monitor key metrics (open rate, CTR, conversion rate, unsubscribe rate) and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Manage and optimize workflows and automations within GoHighLevel.
Leverage tools such as Apollo and Clay for lead enrichment, prospecting, and outbound campaign support.
Collaborate with leadership on broader marketing initiatives including content strategy and brand positioning.
Serve as a frontline point of contact for customer inquiries via email and CRM channels.
Maintain accurate customer records and pipeline activities within the CRM.
Support onboarding communications to ensure a smooth and engaging customer experience.
Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication.
Escalate complex or technical issues appropriately while ensuring clear follow-up with customers.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or a related role (preferably within a SaaS or technology company).
Proven hands-on experience with CRM platforms, specifically GoHighLevel.
Experience using outreach and prospecting tools such as Apollo, Clay, or similar platforms.
Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
Demonstrated ability to create, manage, and optimize email campaigns with measurable results.
Experience with email segmentation, marketing automation, and lead nurturing workflows.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign data and translate insights into strategy improvements.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in construction, building trades, or related industries.
Familiarity with SaaS business models, subscription metrics, and customer lifecycle marketing.
Experience with design tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization.
Experience collaborating with or supporting Customer Success teams.
