What you'll do

About the Role

We are looking for a Part-Time Full Stack Developer to help us build, ship, and scale features across our digital health platform. This role is designed for someone who can contribute consistently on a reduced-hour schedule while maintaining high ownership and delivery standards.

You will work across both frontend and backend, collaborating closely with product, design, engineering, and leadership to deliver meaningful experiences that support users in improving their relationship with alcohol.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership from idea to production. You will design APIs, shape user experiences, make architectural decisions, and solve real production challenges. We value engineers who move fast, think independently, and are excited to leverage modern AI tools and LLMs to enhance their development workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship full-stack features using TypeScript across frontend and backend

  • Develop and maintain applications using Next.js (v14+) and modern React (v18+)

  • Design databases, APIs, and scalable system architecture with minimal oversight

  • Deploy and monitor production systems, ensuring reliability and performance

  • Debug and resolve real-world production issues efficiently

  • Integrate third-party services such as Stripe (subscriptions, billing, webhooks) and Twilio (SMS workflows)

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment workflows

  • Build analytics dashboards and support KPI tracking initiatives

  • Collaborate directly with leadership, including the CEO, to support product and business initiatives

Requirements

Technical & Professional Experience

  • Strong experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend

  • 3+ years of experience with Next.js (v14+) and React (v18+)

  • Experience independently building and shipping features from concept to production

  • Solid understanding of database design, API development, and user experience architecture

  • Experience with deployments, CI/CD, and production monitoring

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

  • Experience incorporating AI programming tools and LLMs into development workflows

  • Confident using Git and command line tools in daily development

Nice to Have

  • Experience with monorepos (Turborepo, pnpm, or yarn workspaces)

  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB/Mongoose, including complex schema design and query optimization

  • Familiarity with AWS services (ECR, DocumentDB, CloudFront)

  • Experience writing and optimizing Docker containers

  • Ability to write shell scripts (Bash/zsh) for automation

  • Experience building analytics dashboards and tracking product KPIs
