About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to join a global platform team building an enterprise-grade, pro-code AI Agent Platform on Microsoft Azure.
This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI enablement. You will design, build, and operate secure, scalable Azure environments that empower teams ranging from business analysts to data scientists and principal engineers.
You will work both as a platform engineer and as a hands-on user of the platform (“Customer Zero”), ensuring the platform is reliable, compliant, and developer-friendly for building agentic and data-driven applications.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and operate a secure and scalable Azure-based pro-code AI agent platform.
Build highly available and reproducible cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and configurations.
Define and enforce security, identity, network, and data protection controls (RBAC, VNets, NSGs).
Operationalize Microsoft Foundry and related AI/ML services to enable agentic applications.
Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, and incident response practices to optimize performance and cost.
Manage global environments and self-service tenants with proper change governance.
Collaborate with platform engineers and stakeholders to maintain technical documentation and drive adoption.
Requirements
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience, with at least 1 year of hands-on Azure experience.
Technical Skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity).
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (or equivalent).
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and/or Bash.
Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance controls.
Experience working with agentic AI platforms such as Microsoft Foundry or Agent 365.
Nice to Have
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, MCPs, or agentic application patterns.
Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry or Langfuse.
Background in big data or distributed systems (Kubernetes, Spark, Hadoop).
Experience with data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or Dataiku.
Azure or Terraform certifications.
